Wete Konga reveals itself differently depending on how it is prepared. Three profiles, three sensory worlds — which one suits you?
- Espresso — Less acidity, more texture. A dense, enveloping cup that fully expresses itself in a short extraction.
- Filter — Structure and clarity. Acidity expresses itself with elegance, revealing the natural complexity of the bean.
- Lumina — Aromatic, floral, sweet. A light roast that allows the terroir to speak in all its delicacy.
This coffee is processed at a washing station owned by Wete Ambela Coffee, located in the Wete kebele of Konga Woreda, Yirgacheffe zone, at an altitude of 2,050 meters.
It is a small structure (less than 2 hectares), typical of the stations in this region specializing in high-quality micro-lots.
The cherries are grown at altitudes between 2,050 and 2,200 meters, on neighboring farms where producers cultivate local heirloom varieties.
The cherries are hand-picked, then pulped to remove the mucilage.
The beans are soaked for 48 hours, then dried on African beds for 18 to 21 days.
